Gail raises £782 for MND Scotland
ANGUSalive Children and Families Physical Activity Lead, Gail Mallarkey, has recently taken a dip every day in May to raise money for MND Scotland.
With wild swims, ice buckets and cold showers, Gail has raised £782 throughout the month long challenge.
Motor neuron disease (MND) is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles. It can rob people of their ability to walk, talk, swallow or breathe unaided. There is currently no cure or meaningful treatment for this devastating disease. MND Scotland funds ground-breaking research to bring us closer to finding a cure and campaigns for lasting change.
Gail said: “My dad is living with this dreadful disease, so it is a charity close to my heart. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, it’s very much appreciated.”
