bACTIVE is ANGUSalive's sport & leisure membership scheme.

Our facilities offer something for everyone whether it’s to keep fit, build strength, work out with friends or just feel good and enjoy activities with the family. Plus with seven sports centres as part of your membership, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the fantastic range of activities and facilities available.

ELEVATE Studios at Carnoustie and Saltire Sports Centres

We recently introduced ‘Elevate’ – a boutique, group PT studio in Carnoustie Sports Centre and Saltire Sports Centre in Arbroath. Fully coached, high intensity training designed to take your fitness to the next level.

Monthly

£37.00 a month

With our monthly membership, you’ll have unlimited access to the gym, fitness classes, swimming pools and health suites at all ANGUSalive venues, but with the ability to cancel at one full calendar month’s notice. Membership also includes access to Elevate studios at Carnoustie and Saltire Sports Centres. You will also have access to book our group fitness classes 8 days in advance and all of the bACTIVE benefits included above.

Young Persons (18–25)

£27 a month

Just left school? Starting your career or off to college or uni? This membership is for you. Our Young Person membership gives you unlimited access to our new state of the art gyms, fitness classes, swimming pools, health suites at all ANGUSalive venues. Membership also includes access to Elevate studios at Carnoustie and Saltire Sports Centres. You will have access to book our group fitness classes 8 days in advance and all of the bACTIVE benefits included above.

Junior Memberships

£27 per month

What’s in a junior membership? Sports, sports and…more sports! We’ve got you covered in football, gymnastics, netball, swimming and basketball. Sharpen your skills or dip into something new for the fun of it. Our junior membership also gives you access our full junior programme, swimming, rookie lifeguard programme as well as a range of free and discounted holiday activities.

Swimming Membership (Junior)

£24 a month

With our Junior Swimming Membership you can access your Learn to Swim classes, attend public sessions, and access our Rookie Lifeguard programme.

 

(Please note this membership should only be taken out once a space at lessons has been accepted.)

Pay as you go

You’re always welcome at our gyms, even if you’re not a member. Access our gyms, fitness classes, swimming pools and health suites and more when you want with Pay As You Go, you will also have the ability to book 7 days in advance.

Concessionary

Fitness Suites

Our friendly, fully qualified team is always on hand to show you how to use a wide range of equipment. There are free weights, weights machines and cardio machines to help you reach your goals.

Group Exercise

Everyone loves fitness classes. They’ll not only help keep you in shape, they are fantastic fun too. We have hundreds of classes a week, for every fitness level, including a range of Les Mills classes such as BodyAttack, BodyBalance and BodyStep.

Swimming

Taking a dip is a great way to de-stress and with five pools across Angus you can enjoy quiet swim time, lane swimming, family fun, inflatables and lessons for all ages. As part of your membership you can also benefit from discounted one-to-one swimming lessons.

Fitness programmes

Going it alone without guidance can be tough. So, why not use our expert instructors. It’s what they’re here for and it’s all free as part of a membership.

Racquet sports

Fancy a game of badminton, squash or short tennis. We have the courts and the equipment to make that happen!

Under 18s activities

An under 18s/junior membership gives access to the usual range of bACTIVE benefits and also a fantastic range of free and discounted term-time and holiday activity programmes. Activities include football, gymnastics, trampolining and much more.

I’m a senior citizen with health issues and was no longer fit as I would like to be.

Due to suffering various falls and ending up in A&E for treatment I was referred to the Better Balance programme that started in September 2024. This was run by 2 physios called Amada and Jennifer who were very helpful and supportive of every member of the group. This course ran for 12 weeks and involved a mixture of exercises to help improve your balance along with talks from nutritionists and advice on where to het help and other activities that you could do such as the weekly Be Active Health Walk which has enable me to meet a variety of people.

Following on from the better balance programme, I next did Strength & Balance class for 12 weeks with Graham and following those classes I signed up as a bACTIVE member to continue to do one circuit class per week and one gym class per week both being run by Graham.

This has resulted in my fitness levels being improved dramatically and also to meeting a variety of people through both the walks and the classes.

I would whole heartedly recommend getting involved with the Be Active…Live Well programme both as a means to improve your fitness and also to meet other people who are probably in a similar situation to yourself. The coaches running the various courses have been very supportive of the differing abilities of the people attending and ensure that everyone is made welcome.
