Small grants to visual artists and craft makers...
VACMA offers small grants to visual artists and craft makers for their creative development at all stages of their career.
Visual Artists and Craft Makers living or practicing in Angus are invited to apply for bursaries for the development of their creative practice. This covers costs associated with developing practice including researching, creating, and presenting new work or advancing skills, technical ability and ideas.
The awards are allocated for individuals to undertake self-determined artistic and professional development. The aim is to support artistic experimentation and creation of new work that adds to the growing reputation of Angus’ artistic community and helps individuals to develop their skills.
The VACMA scheme offers two levels of bursaries and you should apply for the one that best suits your situation.
- Artist Bursaries of £1000
- Early-career bursaries of £500
- (For applicants that have less than 5 years’ experience outside of education/training, graduated in 2019 or later, or that have not studied art formally but have been practising as an artist for up to 5 years).
The fund is open to visual artists and craft makers who can demonstrate a commitment to developing their creative practice and who are living or working or maintaining a studio space within Angus.
