‘That Girl Gail’ Hosts Inspiring Workshop at Lend + Mend Hub
As part of National Libraries Week, last Thursday Forfar Library’s Lend + Mend Hub was buzzing with creativity as we had the pleasure of welcoming That Girl Gail for a fantastic sewing workshop. Gail’s passion for crafting, upcycling, and sustainable fashion inspired everyone who attended, providing hands-on experience in repairing and repurposing clothing and other items.

“We were absolutely delighted to welcome That Girl Gail to our Lend + Mend Hub. Her workshop was such a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, learn new skills, and get creative with sewing and upcycling. It’s exactly the kind of event we envisioned when we launched this last July and is what it is here for.”
The Lend + Mend Hub is a unique resource in Forfar Library, designed to promote sustainability by providing free access to sewing machines, tools, and other equipment for repairing, reusing, and upcycling. We are proud to be one of only nine libraries in the country offering this incredible service, and we regularly host workshops like Gail’s to help the community make the most of it.
