ANGUSalive to Launch PASS Accreditation Scheme to Support Local Sports Clubs and Activity Providers
ANGUSalive’s Community Sports team is delighted to announce the launch of its new Provider Accreditation Scheme for Sport (PASS), which aims to support and encourage sports clubs and physical activity providers in Angus.
The scheme – which replaces the previous ACE scheme – is designed to ensure all providers meet minimum standards of operating and safeguarding practices, enhancing the safety and quality of sports and physical activities across the region.
PASS is a free initiative open to any provider based in or operating within Angus. Providers will benefit from a range of exclusive perks, including access to block bookings at ANGUSalive facilities, professional advice on funding and governance.
Ross Taylor, ANGUSalive’s Community Sports-Hub Co-Ordinator said:
“At ANGUSalive, we’re committed to ensuring that everyone in Angus has access to safe, high-quality sports and physical activities. By achieving PASS accreditation, organisations can show that they meet key safeguarding and operational standards which parents and users will expect.
This not only gives peace of mind to their members that they are operating at a quality standard, but also strengthens their ability to grow and contribute to the wider community. We’re very proud of the excellent network of providers in Angus, and PASS will help them to continue making a positive impact with sport.”
Benefits of Signing Up to PASS
Accreditation for PASS lasts for three years, and providers will receive professional officer support to assist with any project, funding, or governance needs. Key benefits for accredited organisations include:
- The ability to block book ANGUSalive sports facilities from April 2025 onwards.
- Eligibility to work with local Active Schools Coordinators to support the delivery of school sports and physical activities.
- Access to free spaces in ANGUSalive’s CPD training programme.
- Discounted access to state-of-the-art gyms and ANGUSalive’s recently launched Elevate studios
How to Sign Up
Signing up for PASS is a straightforward process. Interested organisations can begin by visiting the PASS webpage. From there, providers can follow the easy steps to complete their organisational profile and upload the necessary documentation for accreditation.
Once submitted, a member of the ANGUSalive team will review the application and work with the provider to ensure all requirements are met. The new scheme officially goes live on Friday, November 1st, with drop-in sessions available for any clubs or providers seeking additional support.
