Full time fun this Easter!

ANGUSalive are pleased to announce they have new week-long Holiday Camps to keep kids amused in Angus throughout the Easter break.

The Holiday Camp in Arbroath offers an action-packed week – commencing Monday 3 until Friday 7 April from 9am to 5pm daily – which will see primary school children take part in a wide range of sports, games and activities and will also include visits to other key attractions in the town including the Webster Memorial Theatre where they can get a behind-the-scenes experience, a tour of the Signal Tower Museum with fun activities and a deep delve into the goings-on at a Arbroath Library, with designing a book cover being one of the exciting things to look forward to.

Furthermore, on the week commencing Monday 10 until Friday 14 April, there will be a gymnastic and trampoline camp held in Carnoustie, 9am to 4pm daily, open to children of all abilities. They too will have an entertaining week, with new skills such as rhythmic gymnastics and core conditioning being covered.

Meanwhile, also on the week commencing Monday 10 until Friday 14 April running from 12.30-4pm there is a multi-sports camp held at Forfar Community Campus, where children will take part in sports such as athletics, golf, basketball and netball.

In addition to these, football camps and swimming lessons will be available at Sports Centres and Community Campuses across Angus throughout the two-week break.

Gail Mallarkey, Children and Families Physical Activity Lead with ANGUSalive said: “We are delighted to launch our Holiday Activities for 2023. We are especially excited to be piloting our week-long Holiday Camp programme which if successful, we will roll out to other venues in the summer holidays. This ‘full-time’ approach will offer children the opportunity to try lots of different activities and learn about some of the amazing features that are in their community. Our team have been working very hard to put this in place and we can’t wait for Easter and to open our doors to excited children.”

ANGUSalive’s holiday activities also include the opportunity for kids to make a splash in the water at Monikie Country Park by taking part in paddleboarding or immersing themselves in other outdoor activity days in one of the county’s most scenic locations. The ever-popular Bookbug will also be enjoying a day out at Monikie for under 5’s.

Thanks to funding from Angus Council’s Holiday Food and Fun budget, free swimming sessions will also be available to all school age children in Angus throughout the Easter break. This free offer is available for public and inflatable swim sessions at designated times and must be booked in advance to ensure a space.
