Gym at Forfar Community Campus set for major refurbishment
ANGUSalive are pleased to announce that a major renovation of their gym at Forfar Community Campus is set to get underway on Monday 29 May.
Improvements to the gym facilities will include a fully refurbished space with the latest gym equipment from Life Fitness and Indigo Fitness, as well as cardio and fixed resistance machines, multi-functional training rigs, colour-coded training zones and enhanced audio and visual solutions. The redeveloped spaces will also feature the latest technology including Myzone, an accurate fitness tracker and online social platform that rewards effort for all physical activity.
To enable this redevelopment work to be carried out, the gym at Forfar Community Campus will close from Friday 26 May, with plans to reopen from Saturday 1 July 2023.
All other activities at Forfar Community Campus including the swimming pool, adult group fitness classes, junior coaching and the main sports hall are still available whilst the refurbishment is taking place. bACTIVE members can also use any other ANGUSalive facility during the closure at no extra cost, including nearby Webster’s Sport Centre in Kirriemuir and newly refurbished gyms at Arbroath Sports Centre, Montrose Sports Centre and Brechin Community Campus.
Lesley Hadden, Project Lead for ANGUSalive said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our latest refurbishment to Forfar Community Campus. With the new fitness spaces already delivered in Arbroath, Brechin and Montrose receiving such positive feedback from our members, we are confident this will be a major hit with the local community. We hope people enjoy it as we look to inspire people to be healthy, active and creative with us in Angus.”
Derek Whamond, Operations Lead for Forfar Community Campus said “The team and I that work in Forfar Community Campus are excited about this news and can’t wait to throw open our doors to our members when the work is complete. A gym is more than just a place to work out, it’s a community and a space to invest in your physical and mental health, where the benefits go way beyond the four walls. Whether you’re a seasoned gym-goer or someone just starting your fitness journey, we are convinced that this new design has something for everyone to enjoy.”
This latest gym refurbishment follows other major renovations that ANGUSalive have completed in the last 12 months at Arbroath Sports Centre, Montrose Sports Centre, and Brechin Community Campus as part of a significant investment programme to upgrade and revitalise its Sport & Leisure portfolio.
Other redevelopment plans for the ANGUSalive portfolio include redevelopment and upgrades to Carnoustie Sports Centre, with more details being announced shortly.
