Squeeze the most out of summer for kids!

ANGUSalive has launched a varied holiday activity programme for kids to enjoy throughout the summer holidays.

Summer Holiday activities take place from 1 July – 13 August 2023. There’s something to appeal to all tastes, from water sports and adventure activities; netball, hanging out on the climbing wall and football camps; to genealogy sessions at Museums, and Bookbug for the little ones in the great outdoors to squeeze the most out of summer!

Also launched this year is “Time Trek”, where kids travel through museums with special adventure backpacks.

Activities are tailored to suit all abilities, furthermore there are also disability and inclusion activities as part of the Biba (Be Inspired Be Active) programme including trampoline, outdoor adventure activities and a sensory poetry walk to name just a few!

ANGUSalive have received funding from Angus Council Holiday, Food and Fun budget for free swimming and inflatable sessions for 4 -17 year olds from 1 July – 13 August, as well as a few of the Disability and Inclusion activities at Forfar Community Campus.

Laura Smith OBE, Disability & Inclusion Lead with ANGUSalive said: “We’re delighted to have received funding from Angus Council Holiday Food and Fun Summer 2023 budget.  This will allow us to offer free access to specific activities for children, young people and adults with disabilities/ASN, along with their friends and families, improving opportunities to participate, progress and achieve together in our Summer Holiday Activity programme.”

Summer Holiday Activities will run from 1 July – 13 August 2022 and can be viewed at www.angusalive.scot/holiday-activities
