5 Things to Fall in Love With in Angus this Valentine’s Day
It’s Valentine’s Day! You probably have grand plans to get out there first thing, buy a card, some flowers or some chocolates and get yourself ready for a hot, romantic date.
Wait, you’ve left it too late?
No problem. We’re happy to play Cupid and give you some advice on how to create some last minute Valentine’s plans in Angus and here’s just 5 things you can do today with a romantic twist.
1. Take a romantic stroll around Monikie…
Looking for a scenic place for a nice walk? We’ve got you. Get yourself to the picturesque Monikie Countryside Park for a bit of hand-holding and Insta-selfies. Bring yourself a hot chocolate and marshmallows and you’ve got yourself a date. (Oh – don’t forget to say hi to the ducks. They like being loved too.)
2. Show your body that you love it!
You won’t think it at the time when you’re pushing out that final rep or on your last interval, but getting a pump on at one of our ANGUSalive gyms is one way to show your body and mind that you care about it. (And – major side note – today’s the last day of our first month free offer.)
3. (…and you can do it with your partner or friends too)
Nor do you need to sweat it out alone – get booked into one of our classes and feel the heat together. High fives post session are recommended, hugs are totally optional.
4. Fall in love with a book
A book is your very own cinema – read it and the pictures in your mind emerge. You may not be surprised to hear that ANGUSalive libraries have a whole host of books including a wonderful collection of romance novels! One of these is “The No-Show” by Beth O’Leary where in her latest book three women who seemingly have nothing in common find that they’re involved with the same man (we can see you – you’re already wanting to see what happ
ens). She also wrote The Flat Share which has recently turned into a TV series. This has been recommended by our very own library team lead Kirsty Sutherland.
5. Get smitten at Live Show at Websters Theatre
Few things beat the romance of a theatre date. What a perfect opportunity to get dressed up, looking sparkly and take a seat at a show to practice that all important outstretched-yawn-arm-over-the-shoulder technique – go have a nosey and see what we’ve got coming up.
