Webster’s Sports Centre pool changing rooms to undergo major refurbishment

Visitors to Webster’s Sports Centre in Kirriemuir are being advised of temporary changes as refurbishment work gets underway on the centre’s swimming pool changing rooms.

The project begins on Monday 6 July and is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete. During this time, the pool changing facilities will be closed while contractors carry out a full refurbishment, including the installation of new ceilings, flooring, showers and wall cladding.

Despite the improvement works, the swimming pool programme and all other activities will continue as normal, with no disruption to scheduled sessions.

To help keep the pool open throughout the refurbishment, swimmers are asked to arrive pool ready, with their swimming costume already on underneath their clothes, following the approach used during the COVID-19 period.

After swimming, customers should dry off on the poolside, put on a onesie, dressing gown or other suitable cover-up, and leave the building via an alternative exit, as directed by staff.

The refurbishment is part of ongoing investment in the centre’s facilities and will provide customers with upgraded, modern changing areas once the work is complete.
