Watch: Dave Ramsay BEM on Robert Burns Exhibition

Dave Ramsay BEM is a historian and local Robert Burns expert.

And if you listen to him, you’ll also be able to see the bursting enthusiasm he has for one of Scotland’s most iconic figures.

ANGUSalive‘s Museums, Galleries and Archives team have worked closely with Dave and his colleagues to deliver a Robert Burns project last week, with a display that included a large collection of Burns books, including a rare 1896 centenary edition of “The songs of Burns, for voice and pianoforte“. Also showcased was a relief of Robert Burns by sculptor Brian Wylie, which will be up for an international auction courtesy of Taylor’s Auction’s in Montrose.

Dave was awarded a BEM (British Empire Medal) for his services to heritage, special needs education and charity in Kincardineshire.
