Taste the Summer – Holiday Activities to keeping kids active, creative and smiling
A packed programme of summer holiday activities is set to provide children and young people with exciting opportunities to stay active, creative, and entertained throughout the school break.
This year’s programme offers a wide variety of activities designed to suit all interests and age groups, from energetic dance and sports camps to outdoor adventures and art & crafts.
New for this year, Acro Dance Camp at Webster’s Sports Centre combines acrobatic tricks with exciting choreography to help participants build confidence, improve coordination, and develop creativity and athletic ability in a supportive and fun environment.
Sports enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to take part in Football, Netball, Gymnastics and Multi Sports Camps taking place across local sports centres, helping children stay active while developing teamwork and new skills during the holidays.
Outdoor Adventurers can enjoy action-packed experiences in the great outdoors at Monikie Country Park, giving participants the chance to take part in exciting activities, and create lasting summer memories.
Drama kings and queens can join Theatre Stars Summer School for an exciting, fun filled 4 day experience at Arbroath’s Webster Theatre, ending with a special performance for family and friends.
Creative children and families can also enjoy seasonal arts and crafts drop-in sessions hosted by local museums. Suitable for all ages, the sessions will provide hands-on creative experiences inspired by summer themes.
There’s a range of Inclusive Activities, some of which are funded by Angus Council Holiday Food & Fun budget.
