PASS marks for local clubs
Since launching on 1 November, ANGUSalive Provider Accreditation Scheme for Sport (PASS) has already recognised 6 local activity providers with accreditation to the scheme.
PASS aims to quality-assure the governance and organisational practise of sports club and physical activity providers who are based or operating in Angus. The Community Sport team will support as many organisations as they can to develop stronger, more effective governance, which allows them to be recognised as meeting the minimum standard of practise required to work with key venues and partners in Angus.
Montrose Rugby Club, Kempo Kobudo Scotland, Strathmore Community Rugby Trust, Carnoustie Craws, Phoenix Gymnastics and Kanzen Karate have all received accreditation which also includes a list of benefits.
Ross Taylor, Acting Community Sport & Physical Activity Lead said: “We’re delighted to have already signed up 6 local providers so far, with 20+ applying within the first couple of weeks of launching. Providers will benefit from a range of exclusive perks, including access to block bookings at ANGUSalive facilities, eligibility to work with Angus Active Schools, and professional advice on funding, governance and a brand new CPD system built using feedback from our training needs consultation delivered in February 2024.”
