ANGUSalive brings Elevate to Montrose Sports Centre
New dedicated Elevate studio will deliver coached small-group functional fitness in Montrose
ANGUSalive is preparing to launch Elevate at Montrose Sports Centre, bringing its coach-led functional fitness programme to the town through a newly developed, dedicated studio.
The investment will transform the space into an energetic small-group training environment designed to combine strength, conditioning and functional movement. The studio will support structured sessions led by trained Elevate coaches, giving participants more individual attention than they would typically receive in a larger group exercise class.
Elevate has been developed in response to growing demand for coached functional training and provides an approachable route for people who want expert guidance, encouragement and the motivation of exercising alongside others.
Supported training, built around people
Classes will be designed for a range of abilities, with coaches able to adapt exercises and help participants develop technique, confidence and fitness at a pace that is right for them. The focus will be on making challenging training feel welcoming, achievable and enjoyable.
Lynne Haxton, Sport & Leisure Team Leader, ANGUSalive said:
“Bringing Elevate to Montrose is an exciting next step for ANGUSalive. The new studio will give people a dedicated environment where they can benefit from high-quality coaching while still enjoying the energy, encouragement and sense of community that comes from training as part of a group.
Our aim is to create something that feels supportive and inclusive, whether someone is already confident with functional training or is trying this style of exercise for the first time.”
Part of continued investment in Montrose
The Elevate development forms part of ANGUSalive’s continued work to enhance the customer experience and make best use of the spaces within its Sport & Leisure facilities. It will complement the existing gym, fitness and leisure offer at Montrose Sports Centre and provide customers with another way to be active.
Julie Aitken, Operations Lead, Montrose Sports Centre said:
“The team at Montrose Sports Centre is really looking forward to welcoming customers into the new Elevate Studio. We know how important it is for people to feel comfortable and supported when trying something new, and our coaches and wider centre team will be there to make the experience positive from the moment they arrive.
It is an exciting addition for Montrose, giving existing and new customers another motivating way to be active, build confidence and achieve their goals.”
ANGUSalive are investing around £100 000 to bring the state-of-the-art boutique fitness studio to Montrose.
Scott Nicoll, Adult & Membership Physical Activity Lead, ANGUSalive said:
“Elevate will add something genuinely different to the programme at Montrose Sports Centre. It will complement our existing bACTIVE offer and give customers more choice in how they train, with the added reassurance of a coach being there to guide and motivate them throughout each session.”
Elevate at Montrose Sports Centre is expected to launch early January 2027. Details of the opening event, preview sessions, timetable, booking arrangements and any introductory offer will be announced once finalised. Customers will be able to follow progress through ANGUSalive’s website, app, social-media channels and on-site communications at Montrose Sports Centre.
