Monifieth Hub Progress

The construction of the Monifieth Community Hub and Library is well underway, and we are excited to share with you the progress being made.

The project is located on the beachfront, within the Blue Seaway Park, and is set to provide a new purpose-built community centre for the area.

Run as a social enterprise for the benefit and enjoyment of local people it has been designed to provide a multi-functional centre for culture, learning, sport, leisure, health, and wellbeing.

Laura Stewart, Libraries Operations Lead for Monifieth Library, said of the project “This is a new chapter in Monifieth Library’s history and the team are looking forward to welcoming our customers into a brand-new, purpose-built library!”.

This exciting development for the local community, library users and library provision, with its new location, modern layout, and integration in a community managed resource will support the long-term future of library services in the town.
