Let your hair down with free VIP family pantomime tickets to be won
ANGUSalive libraries are launching a drawing competition for kids to win a VIP family ticket for this year’s pantomime ‘Rapunzel featuring Puss in Boots’ at The Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath.
Children under 16 years old are invited to attend a drop in session at any library in Angus on the first three Saturdays in November where they can draw a tower so Rapunzel can let her hair down. There are three age categories, 5 years and under, 6-10 years old and 11-16 years old with one family ticket to be won in each category. The competition gives kids the chance to see the opening night of this year’s performance of the pantomime on Saturday 10 December free of charge with their family where they will also have the chance to be photographed with the cast. Winning entries will also be printed in this year’s pantomime programme. Templates for the competition can also be collected from the mobile library if it visits your area.
Sylvia Main, Children and Families lead with ANGUSalive said: “ We can’t wait to see the creative towers that are drawn for the competition by kids in Angus. Drop into your local library any of the three Saturday mornings to create your impressive towers for Rapunzel, for your chance to win VIP tickets to our brilliant Panto this December. If you get your books from a mobile library you can collect a sheet that you can complete and return to the mobile or hand in to any Library.”
The entries will be judged by JJ Christine, producer and choreographer of this year’s pantomime. JJ Christine said: ““I am very much looking forward to judging the drawing competition being ran in ANGUSalive’s libraries, I can’t wait to see what amazing designs the children of Angus come up with, I am sure they will be fantastic. We will then look forward to welcoming the winners and their families along to see our fantastic Panto!”
The newly announced cast of Rapunzel featuring Puss in Boots includes Chloe Foston who plays the evil Queen, Aaron Usher returns as our Dame for the fifth time, Rodney Matthew as the Fairy Godfather, Finlay McKillop as Puss and Eve Buglass as the beautiful Rapunzel.
The closing date for entries to the competition is 12 noon on Tuesday 22 November 2022. You can find out more about the competition and this years pantomime at www.angusalive.scot/whats-on
