The ANGUSalive Library team are excited to announce three events that they have planned to celebrate Book Week Scotland 2023 (13–19 November).
On Monday 13 November Arbroath Library will host an Author Talk from Marion Todd, Dundee born crime writer from 2:00 – 3:00pm.
Christine Sharp – Adult & Community Libraries Lead said of the event “we are excited to welcome Marion Todd to our Angus Libraries for the 1st time ever this Book Week Scotland.
Marion’s books are becoming ever more popular with our library members, both her physical books and eBooks too.
Her last two novels – “Old bones Lie” and “A Blind Eye” both currently have a waiting list, so we are looking forward to welcoming everyone who comes along to meet her. There may even be an additional wee surprise for the first few people who turn up at the event!”
On Wednesday 15 November, our Mobile Library will host a Special Story Time session with Chris Duke for the pupils of Borrowfield primary school, Montrose. Chris is a renowned children’s author, famed for Lucy’s Blue Day. This event will also celebrate National Mobile Libraries Day.
The final event will be held on Friday 15 November during the next Libraries on the Move Day at Monikie Village Hall. ANGUSalive Libraries have planned a silent walk from 11:30 – 12:30pm around the reservoir at Monikie County Park while listen to a Marion Todd audio book. Marion will then host a Q&A session to discuss her work.
Please be advised that attendees of our silent walk event must be library members, have downloaded our Libby app in advance of the event and have downloaded one of the six Marion Todd audio titles we have available.
