Lyon & Turnbull Valuation Day to Raise Funds for Montrose Museum
Residents and visitors to Montrose are being invited to discover the potential value of their treasured possessions at a special Lyon & Turnbull Valuation Day on Sunday 13 September, with all donations supporting Montrose Museum.
As part of Lyon & Turnbull’s 200th anniversary celebrations, the renowned auction house is bringing its specialist expertise to communities across Scotland, offering people the opportunity to receive professional valuations and advice close to home.
The specialist team will be available to value a wide range of hand-carry items, including Asian art, jewellery, watches, silver, ceramics, paintings and more.
Whether it is a family heirloom that has been passed down through generations, an interesting piece discovered in the attic, or an item that someone is considering selling at auction, the experts will be on hand to offer guidance and help visitors understand more about what they have and what it might be worth.
With two centuries of experience, Lyon & Turnbull has worked with families across Scotland, providing expert advice built on knowledge, care and an understanding of local communities.
The event will also help support the work of Montrose Museum, with a £5 donation requested per item valued and all funds raised going directly to the museum.
No appointment is required. Visitors can simply bring their items along and speak directly with the Lyon & Turnbull specialists.
