A Life in Art – Liz Douglas

From intimate knowledge of the rural landscape where she grew up, Liz Douglas spent her life closely observing, drawing and painting special places she discovered across Scotland to produce a very distinctive body of artwork.

Her love of the natural world inspired her evolving dialogue with traditions in contemporary painting. Liz’s contemporary artworks combined drawing and paintings to express a new way of representing and challenging landscapes.
