Creative Arts Programme inspired by World Cultures Exhibition

ANGUSalive Museums & Galleries are delighted to offer a new Creative Arts Programme in partnership with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust.

This creative programme is an opportunity for anyone living with a long term health condition in Angus. The 8 week course is led by artist Jude Gove and the group will explore and reflect on the current exhibition, Perspectives: Collecting the World, through three different world art and craft techniques.

The course will run every Tuesday from 10 February until 31 March 2026, at 1pm – 3pm.

This programme follows on from last years ‘Labours of Love n Light’ workshop, where the ‘Labours of Love ‘n’ Light’ theme was introduced to a group of participants with mixed long-term conditions living in Angus who explored the Meffan Museum Exhibition  ‘Labours of Love’ by Meg and Laurie Harris, which was showing at the time. You can read more about last years creative arts programme workshop here.

Susan Curran, ANGUSalive Museums and Galleries Engagement Lead said: “We’re delighted to again be working in partnership with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust. The creative arts programme offers a chance to rekindle a creative streak or spark a new interest.

“With this year’s theme being inspired by the Perspectives: Collecting the World exhibition, it also provides a chance for participants to re-discover history.”

This years programme will take place in the gallery room downstairs at the Meffan Museum and Art Gallery, 20 West High Street, Forfar, DD8 1BB. The building is fully accessible.

Please register your interest in the Creative Arts Programme by contacting Karine Neill before 02 February 2026 via email: karine.neill@nhs.scotphone: 01382 835509 or text: 07483 174728. Places will be confirmed.
