Join us at the Montrose Burns Festival 2025, a 4-day celebration of Scotland’s national poet, from 24th to 27th January at the Montrose Museum. Dive into the life and legacy of Robert Burns through engaging exhibits, self-led trails, and fascinating talks—all free of charge!

Permanent Display (24th–27th January) Explore artefacts, sculptures, and displays celebrating Burns and his ties to Angus.
Self-led Burns Trail (24th–27th January) Walk the newly launched Robert Burns Trail, a self-guided outdoor journey exploring Montrose’s connection to Burns. Find details at Montrose Burns Trail.
Pop-Up Exhibition (25th–27th January) Discover a banner display showcasing Burns’ life and his relationship with Angus.
Daily Talks (2:00–4:00 PM) Engage with local historians and enthusiasts:
- 24th & 26th January: Dave Ramsay B.E.M shares stories of Burns in Angus and guides you through the exhibits.
- 25th & 27th January: Members of MBC present the Rosemount Cairn Project and the Heritage Trail.
