Brit Pop Festival 2027 Set to Bring 90s Nostalgia to Webster Memorial Theatre
Fans of 90s music are being invited to relive the golden age of Brit Pop as the Brit Pop Festival arrives at the Webster Memorial Theatre for a full day of live music, nostalgia and iconic anthems.
Taking place on Saturday 22 May 2027, the festival promises a celebration of some of the biggest bands and songs of the decade, featuring acclaimed tribute acts Pulp’d, Blur2 and Oasiz.
The event will begin at 3PM (Doors Open at 2PM) with performances from Pulp’d and Blur2, before Oasiz takes to the stage at 7PM for a headline evening set packed with Oasis classics. Live music will also continue throughout the day in the Assembly Hall and foyer bar, creating a festival atmosphere from start to finish.
Organisers say the event is designed for anyone who lived through the Brit Pop era, as well as younger fans discovering the music for the first time. With indie anthems, singalong favourites and festival vibes throughout the venue, the day is expected to be a major attraction for music lovers across the region.
Oasiz have become one of the UK’s most talked-about tribute bands in recent years. In 2023, front man Steve went viral on social media after a short clip of him performing as Liam Gallagher attracted more than half a million views. Many viewers believed the footage showed the real Liam Gallagher, leading to national press coverage and a high-profile television appearance later that year.
Now embarking on their third UK tour, Oasiz promise a setlist filled with career-spanning hits synonymous with Oasis’ legendary live shows.
Meanwhile, Pulp’d continue to cement their reputation as one of the country’s leading touring tribute acts. Regular performers on festival circuits and at sold-out theatre shows, the band recreates the energy and eccentricity of Pulp’s live performances with striking attention to detail.
Fans can expect renditions of classics including Common People, Disco 2000 and Babies, alongside fan favourites such as Mis-Shapes, Lip Gloss and I Spy.
Blur2, widely regarded as the UK’s definitive Blur tribute band, will also bring the unmistakable sound and swagger of Brit Pop legends Blur to the festival stage. Known for recreating the energy of Blur’s iconic performances, the band’s set is expected to feature a mix of chart-topping hits and cult favourites that appeal to both lifelong fans and casual listeners alike.
With a packed line-up and a full day of live entertainment planned, organisers are encouraging music fans to “dust off their bucket hats” and prepare for a huge celebration of 90s music culture.
