ANGUSalive Awarded Bronze by Defence Employer Recognition Scheme
ANGUSalive is proud to announce that it has received the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), a national initiative that recognises employers who actively support defence personnel and the armed forces community.
The ERS Bronze Award acknowledges ANGUSalive’s commitment to upholding the values of the Armed Forces Covenant. This means the organisation supports those who serve or have served in the UK’s armed forces, including reservists, veterans, cadet instructors, and military families.
To celebrate this achievement, Major Ray Watt, Regional Employer Engagement Director for the Highland Reserve Forces & Cadets Association (HRFCA), visited Montrose Museum on Wednesday 3 September, to present the award certificate to Iain Stevens, Senior Manager at ANGUSalive.
Iain Stevens said of the award “We’re honoured to receive the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award. It reflects our commitment to supporting those who serve or have served in the armed forces and strengthens our ties with the local defence community in Angus”.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme offers three levels of recognition (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). While the Bronze Award acknowledges initial commitment, Silver and Gold Awards recognise deeper integration of supportive practices. ANGUSalive has expressed its intention to work closely with its team and board members to pursue these higher awards in the future.
This award not only recognises ANGUSalive’s dedication but also encourages other employers in the region to follow suit in supporting the armed forces community. The collective effort helps build a more inclusive and supportive society for those who serve or have served in the UK military.
