Bruce Whamond

Bruce coaches Indoor Group Cycling and his favourite track which pushes him on is The Night Train! Bruce’s best piece of advice is: We are all here for different reason and as long as you are turning the pedal you are doing something good for yourself!
Bruce loves cycling and his favourite moment has been when he rode on London 100, it’s the same route that Bradley Wiggins did when he won his gold medal!

Georgia Tindal

Georgia is Level 2 Personal Training, Level 2 Exercise to Music, Kettlercise, Aqua aerobics, Les Mills RPM, Body Attack and Tone qualified. Georgia’s favourite tracks are the mountain tracks from RPM. Georgia’s best piece of advice is: “Try every class a few times & see if you like it, the 1st time to a class is always hard as there’s a lot to take in so defo give it a go a couple of times”
Georgia’s most memorable moment is when her & two other Body Attack instructors done a big launch for Body Attack 100 in Forfar & it was so much fun!

Debbie Johnstone

Debbie is qualified in Level 2 Exercise to Music, Les Mills Body Pump, Body Balance, Body Step and RPM. Debbie’s favourite track comes from Body Step and is: Party Step. If coming along to Debbie’s classes she would say ‘Try a class at least 3 times before deciding it is for you or not”
Debbie’s favourite moments are receiving the Assignment passed emails from Les Mills!

Gillian West

Gill has Level 2 Gym Instructor, Exercise to Music. Les Mills RPM, Sprint, Grit and Bodypump. Gill’s favourite track from any of her classes is Blade from the RPM mountain track! So be prepared for a tough workout! Gill’s best piece of advice to you would be “Make a plan and set realistic goals, start small, build up and feel proud of every step you take to improve your fitness”.
Gill’s favourite moment so far has been taking part in RPM charity events for Alzheimers and a charity 24-hour cycle with fellow instructors!

Connor Feeney

Connor is a Level 3 Personal Trainer and a Les Mills Body Pump Instructor. Connor enjoys a variety of music in his classes, but his favourite is the warm up track Run from Body Pump release 123. His best piece of advice would be “Showing up is half the battle. Start off at light intensity then look to progress at a sensible pace, don’t shoot too high from the beginning as this can put you off very quickly”
Connor best moment so far is when he Smashed out 8 reps of 30 kg dumbbells (dumbbell press) for the first time and doing a 5km run in under 20 minutes for the first time.

Laura Mclellan

Laura is qualified up to Level 2 fitness gym instructor, Level 2 in kettlebells and finally METAFIT. If unsure on Laura’s classes she would tell you to Try your best and don’t over do it. Take your time and enjoy.
Laura is also into Martial Arts and her best moment was coming second in one competition!

Lesley Hadden

Lesley has Level 3 Exercise to Music, Level 3 Gym Instructor, Les Mills Body Pump and RPM qualifications. You can find a mixture of music choices in Lesley’s classes! Lesley’s best piece of advice to you is “Work at your own level and pace and each week just do a little more. Let’s get you moving more and enjoying the class and the rest will follow”
Did you know that Lesley is one of our longest serving instructors having started teaching 20 years ago at the very first Body Pump Class!!

Rebecca Gilyeat

Rebecca is Level 2 Exercise to Music, Level 3 PT, Les Mills advanced Body Pump, Body step, Body Combat, Balance and yoga qualifications. There too many good tracks, but Rebecca loves the buzz of energy from the Body Pump back track! In her classes you will always be welcomed and made to feel at ease, and it takes time and patience to find that routine.
Rebecca’s most memorable moment was travelling to Guatemala and completing her 200-hour yoga training is something she will never forget!

Jo Mackenzie

Jo is a Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 2 Gym instructor and holds Indoor Group Cycling and Metafit. Jo’s favourite track is one of Chris Brown’s – Don’t wake me up. That one’s definitely on the class playlist! Her best piece of advice for you is “Don’t put too much pressure on yourself – Rome wasn’t built in a day”
Jo’s most memorable sporting moment came when she took part in her first weightlifting competition!

Lesley McMahon

Lesley is a Zumba instructor. She loves all of the Zumba rhymes and find’s it hard to pick her favourite, you’ll find it hard to pick your favourite too! Lesley’s says Zumba is exercise in disguise!!! You can give it as much or as little as you like, there is no pressure just fun!!
Lesley favourite moment so far was attending a masterclass with all the Zumba specialised trainers.

Eilidh McCartney

Eilidh is qualified in Level 3 Personal Training, Level 2 Gym Instructor Level 2 Exercise to Music, Indoor Group Cycling, Les Mills Body Attack, Core and Aquafit. Eilidh’s favourite track and can always be found in her playlist is Insomnia by Faithless. Eilidh’s best piece of advice she would give is “Everyone starts out as a beginner. You might love it , you might hate it but if you don’t try it you’ll never know”
Eilidh’s best moment in sport was completing the Cateran Yomp a 54km hike in 16 hours!

Lynne Young

Lynne is qualified in Level 2 Gym Instructor an delivers a variety of classes. You will always get some upbeat tracks in Lynne’s class! Her best advice to you is “Do what you can if there is something you can’t physically do just do an alternate move as long as you keep moving”.
Lynne’s best moments are: When customers tell you how much weight loss or how better they feel from doing her classes.

Kenny Beats

Kenny is qualified in Level 2 Exercise to Music, Les Mills Elite Rpm Instructor, Body Combat, Sprint, and a Metafit Instructor. Kenny’s favourite track on his playlists is 1000 Horsepower from RPM 66. Kenny’s best piece of advice would be “Come and have fun. If you have fun, you are more likely to come back. Forget everything else. Your goals will come in time”
Kenny’s most memorable moment in sport has been becoming an elite RPM instructor and completing his first marathon.

Moyra Miller

Moyra is qualified in Level 2 exercise to music, level 3 mat Pilates, level 3 Hathaway yoga, les mills Body Balance and has delivered a number of classes. Moyra’s best piece of fitness advice would be to try it more than once!
Moyra’s best moment in sport has come when she delivered a Zumba class to 90 participants!

Kelsey McLean

Kelsey is a Les Mills Bodypump and Bodycombat Instructor and her favourite track to teach is the Muay Thai track in Bodycombat!
Kelsey’s best piece of advice is just come along! A little bit of nerves is good – it means you are ready to challenge yourself and grow. All classes take a while to get used to, so give yourself time. Plenty of options for everyone.
Kelsey enjoys canoeing and her favourite memory has been canoeing down the river Tummel. Her favourite quote is from Marlon Woods, Les Mills Ltd – “Progress, not perfection, and progress knows no finish line”.

Laura Turner

Laura is qualified in Les Mills Bodypump, Bodycombat, Kettlebells, Matafit, Metapower and Powerhoop. There are too many tracks for Laura to choose from so you’re in for a number of good tracks in her classes!
Laura’s best piece of advice would be “Give it a go!”. Laura’s favourite moments are passing her Les Mills qualifications.

Vero is an experienced instructor and can deliver various programmes. L3 Pilates, L2 Exercise to music, L2 Step exercise to music, L2 gym-based instructor, L2 water based exercise to music, deep water exercise certified. CYS yoga, Les Mills Core, barre pilates, metafit, Advanced kettlercise instructor, powerhoop Kettlercise blast, LM core, stretch & Flex, Legs, bums and tums, step aerobics.
Vero loves any retro tracks from the 70s, 80s and 90s!
Vero’s best piece of advice is come ready to enjoy exercising. You will have fun!

Finlay Carnegie

Finlay is a level 2 gym instructor, level 3 personal trainer, level 4 strength and conditioning coach, level 2 group fitness instructor and most recently has qualified as a Les Mills Strength Development coach and Les Mills Ceremony coach.
Finlay’s piece of advice for anyone wanting to try group exercise is “come along and try it at least once and I’m sure you will enjoy each class”.
His best moment was helping out with a 10-hour cycle marathon with D&A College and passing his Level 3 Personal Training qualification.
Finlay’s motivational quote is “Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success.”

Janice Whittick

Janice delivers Yoga and has teacher training Diploma – Yoga Scotland and it might surprise you, that she loves listening to a bit of Led Zeppelin – Rock and Roll. Janice says that “Yoga is for everyone so come along and you will be very welcome”
Janice also completed her 10th Half-marathon in Florence in 2018.

Karen Fotheringham

Karen is a level 2 fitness instructor, level 3 personal training and delivers Circuits, Bodyweight Basics and 20/20/20. Karen’s best sporting memory is training for Hyrox doubles with her husband, who went from a non-runner to him beat her on the track sessions.
Did you know that Karen enjoys a bit of 90’s music with JX There’s nothing I won’t do.

Kathleen Brown

Kathleen is a Level 2 Gym Instructor, Body Pump, Aqua Aerobics and RPM qualified. Her favourite tracks are from RPM – Greyhound, Mufasa, Blade (all mountain tracks!) Kathleen’s advice to you would be, don’t try out a class once, go to at least 6 and see if its for you, relax and have fun!

Thelma D’orsi

Thelma is qualified in Zumba and Aqua Zumba. There are so many tracks that are Thelma’s favourite but narrowed it down to: El Carnaval de Celia,/Banx/Al Filo De Tu Amor/Bella all can be heard on her Zumba playlist! Thelma’s best piece of advice for coming to her class would be: “Don’t hold back!”
Thelma’s favourite memories in sport are the good memories and having fun with all the lovely people that came to all her classes.

Brenda Miller

Brenda can deliver Les Mills Pilates, Les Mills Shapes, Elevate Cardio, Aerobics and Elevate Circuits. Brenda’s advice for someone who is looking to try a class for the first time would be “ Speak to the instructor beforehand to gain insight into what the class involves, most classes are suitable for everyone with options & alternatives to ensure you work at the right intensity”
Did you know that Brenda has completed the Edinburgh Half Marathon twice.
