This winter, we are thrilled to be bringing you “Festive Fun”, a season packed with Christmas activities right across Angus.
Iain Stevens, Acting Chief Executive said: “We’re delighted to bring such a wide variety of festive activities to the people of Angus this winter. Our goal is to create memorable experiences for all ages, and we think in this programme that we are building, we are certainly doing that. We hope that everyone will join us in celebrating the festive season together. Check out what we’ve got coming up and look out for more to follow as we get closer to the winter season.”

The Winter Meffan Show
Art lovers are in for a treat with the return of the Winter Meffan Show, now its 32nd year. This annual exhibition showcases the incredible talent of local artists and offers a diverse range of artworks that capture the essence of winter. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media pieces, the show provides a wonderful opportunity to support local art and find unique pieces that could make perfect Christmas gifts. The preview of the show will be on Friday 8 November 6:30-8:30pm and will be sponsored by Angus Alchemy.
The Winter Meffan Show will be running from 9 November to 6 January and is free to attend.
Signal Tower Fayre
Signal Tower Museum will host a Pop-up festive market on Saturday 30 November, 10.30 – 16.00. This event will showcasing local business and suppliers in the beautiful Signal Tower Courtyard.
“Beauty & the Beast” Panto at Webster Theatre
No festive season is ever complete without a trip to the theatre, and this we have “Beauty and the Beast” as our panto, with a performance that promises to be a hit with audiences of all ages. From Friday 13 December to Tuesday 24 December there’s plenty of days to see it, but booking is recommended to not miss your preferred date!
Festive Weekends at Monikie Country Park throughout December
Join us at Monikie Country Park for festive weekends in the beautiful back drop of Monikie Country Park.
Monikie Festive Market is back on this year on 14 and 15 of December with local stalls offering unique gifts, crafts, and delicious treats — perfect for ticking off your Christmas shopping list with getting gems you couldn’t get on the high street and supporting local business.
Monikie will also have Santa and the Grinch’s grotto which is perfect for the kids, as well as returning favourites such as wreath making workshops – more information on those will follow in due course.
"Step into Christmas" returns to the Reid Hall in Forfar
After a successful debut performance last year, ANGUSalive’s “Step in to Christmas” returns for 2024 on 21 December. Featuring a talented ensemble of 8 live singers, an energetic 11-piece band, and a delightful children’s chorus you will be encouraged to get into that jolly festive spirit and singing along to your favourite Christmas classics including “Fairytale of New York”, “Last Christmas” and of course why wouldn’t it include the iconic “All I Want for Christmas Is You”?
Tickets are just £10 for this in what promises to be a fun night.
