This winter, we are thrilled to be bringing you “Festive Fun”, a season packed with Christmas activities right across Angus.
Iain Stevens, Acting Chief Executive said: “We’re delighted to bring such a wide variety of festive activities to the people of Angus this winter. Our goal is to create memorable experiences for all ages, and we think in this programme that we are building, we are certainly doing that. We hope that everyone will join us in celebrating the festive season together. Check out what we’ve got coming up and look out for more to follow as we get closer to the winter season.”

The Meffan Winter Show
9 November 2024 to 6 January 2025
Art lovers are in for a treat with the return of the Meffan Winter Show, now its 32nd year. This annual exhibition showcases the incredible talent of local artists and offers a diverse range of artworks that capture the essence of winter. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media pieces, the show provides a wonderful opportunity to support local art and find unique pieces that could make perfect Christmas gifts.
The Meffan Winter Show is free to attend.

Calling all budding young artists and their families! Join our Christmas themed family art club in the Meffan Art Gallery and take part in our Christmas trail and festive crafts.

My Zone Challenge: Beat the Elves
2 - 13 December
We challenge you to beat our Elves with My Zone!
Using the green and yellow zones, beat the number of MEPS the Elves achieve to be entered into a prize draw for a £30 Angus Grill + Larder voucher. The more Elves you beat, the more entries you’ll get in the prize draw.

Festive Fun Day
Saturday 7 December
Join us for a unique Christmas experience for all the family at Montrose Museum. Take part in our Christmas themed museum scavenger hunt and festive arts and crafts.

“Beauty & the Beast” Panto at Webster Theatre
13 - 24 December
No festive season is ever complete without a trip to the theatre, and this we have “Beauty and the Beast” as our panto, with a performance that promises to be a hit with audiences of all ages. From Friday 13 December to Tuesday 24 December there’s plenty of days to see it, but booking is recommended to not miss your preferred date!

Monikie Festive Market
14 & 15 December
Join us at Monikie Country Park for Monikie Festive Market.
There will be a range of local businesses offering unique gifts, crafts, and delicious treats — perfect for ticking off your Christmas shopping list with gems you won’t find on the high street as well as the benefit of supporting local sellers.

"Step into Christmas" returns to the Reid Hall in Forfar
Saturday 21 December
After a successful debut performance last year, ANGUSalive’s “Step in to Christmas” returns for 2024 on 21 December. Featuring a talented ensemble of 8 live singers, an energetic 11-piece band, and a delightful children’s chorus you will be encouraged to get into that jolly festive spirit and singing along to your favourite Christmas classics including “Fairytale of New York”, “Last Christmas” and of course why wouldn’t it include the iconic “All I Want for Christmas Is You”?
Tickets are just £14 for this in what promises to be a fun night.
