Join National Records of Scotland (NRS) Outreach and Learning Archivists Jessica Evershed and Jocelyn Grant for this introductory talk on researching your Scottish family history.

This talk will provide a brief introduction to NRS and its archives before delving into how to start your family tree. The basics of family history research will be covered: the key records used for genealogical research; what these records can tell you; and how to search and view family history records from home via Scotland’s People. In particular, we will be demonstrating this through the family records of the famous engineering family, the Lighthouse Stevensons. We hope to see you there.
