Countryside Adventure Volunteering

Are you looking to get outdoors, learn new skills, meet people, and help your local Country Park? If so, one of our volunteering roles may be perfect for you!

Interested in protecting valuable habitats and the animals that call them home? Then come and help the Rangers with practical conservation tasks such as tree planting, invasive species removal and woodland management. Tools, gloves and training will be provided, so all participants need is a reasonable level of physical fitness to work outdoors with tools and an enthusiasm for helping wildlife!

Assist the Rangers with surveying our Country Parks for some special species, to help monitor the condition of the habitats and make sure we are doing what we can to help them thrive. Training will be provided. Species surveyed will include bumblebees, red squirrels, butterflies, wetland birds, and more!

We have a growing weekly programme of short, leisurely Health Walks and Buggy Walks across Angus. We rely on our team of volunteer Health Walk Leaders to support delivery and we’d love you to join us. Full training and ongoing support is provided, so get in touch if you love getting out and about and helping other people to do the same.

Do you enjoy being involved in events with the public? Our Events Volunteers assist with organizing and executing events, engaging with participants, and ensuring a positive experience for attendees, including at our very popular Christmas activities. Get in touch if you love helping things run smoothly and making sure people have a great experience in our Country Parks.

Activity Support Volunteers play a key behind-the-scenes role in keeping our water sports activities running smoothly, from cleaning and organising wetsuits and buoyancy aids to supporting general equipment upkeep. They help maintain our activity sites to the highest standard, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and ready for action.

Our Maintenance Volunteers assist the Countryside Technicians with practical tasks around the Country Parks, ensuring that everything is well maintained and properly managed. Tasks could include repairing signs or fences, cutting back vegetation, giving things a fresh coat of paint, and anything else that our Country Parks need to be the best they can be!
