Showcasing and supporting local artists, The Beacon Gallery and Shop opens at Signal Tower Museum

The Beacon Gallery and Shop has opened at Signal Tower Museum. This new gallery and retail space is dedicated to celebrating and supporting local artists and makers.

The Beacon Gallery and Shop will present a regularly changing selection of high-quality, affordable artworks and handcrafted pieces, all created by artists and makers from across Angus and the surrounding area. From paintings and prints to jewellery, every item on display will be available to purchase at the time of visit, allowing visitors to take home a unique piece of local creativity.

Visitors to the Signal Tower Museum will now be able to discover original work inspired by the landscapes, heritage and character of the Angus coast, while directly supporting local talent.

Featured in the opening of the gallery, visitors will find a selection of jewellery by Suzanne Fillingham, alongside artwork by local artists such as Steve Haden, Paula Wharton, and Lucy Sherry.

Meghann Logue, ANGUSalive Museums & Galleries Exhibition Lead said: “The Beacon Gallery & Shop is an exciting step forward in how we support and celebrate local artists and makers. By offering work for sale within the museum, we’re creating new opportunities for artists while giving visitors the chance to connect with, and invest in, creativity.”

The Signal Tower Museum is open from Wednesday to Monday 10:30 – 16:00 (closed Tuesdays) from April to October 2026.
