The registration process was clear, structured, and very well supported. The PASS team provided excellent guidance throughout, and the documentation was easy to follow. From start to finish, it felt like a constructive partnership rather than just a compliance exercise — which made the process both efficient and worthwhile.
Joining the PASS scheme has had a very positive impact on Brothock Shotokan Karate Club. It has helped strengthen our governance framework and provided added assurance to parents, carers, and our wider community that child wellbeing, safeguarding, and quality standards are central to everything we do. It has also supported the alignment of our Safety Management Framework and SKGB coaching pathway, giving our instructors and volunteers a stronger sense of consistency and pride in maintaining high professional standards.
We would strongly encourage any club or organisation to register with PASS. The process not only promotes best practice but also helps you reflect on how your policies and procedures work in real life. It’s a great way to demonstrate commitment to safe, inclusive sport and to build confidence among members, parents, and partner organisations.
Our overall experience has been excellent. The PASS team have been approachable, supportive, and understanding of how community clubs like ours operate. The scheme has been practical, relevant, and has genuinely helped us improve how we deliver karate across all age groups — from our Tiger Cubs and Karate Kids to our senior grades. We’re proud to display our PASS accreditation as a visible symbol of the club’s commitment to safe, high-quality coaching and continuous improvement.
