National Libraries Week: Discover Your Library
This Discover Your Library event is all about exploring the wealth of resources and services available within your Angus libraries. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the wide range of services on offer, from borrowing books and digital resources to accessing support resources in the form of our MacMillian partnership or the extensive collection of Dementia boxes designed to stimulate memories and discussions. In addition to discovering our library offerings, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about our Local & Family History services with our Archives team on hand to answer any of your questions. This event is also the perfect opportunity to pop into Kirriemuir Library, sign up or borrow a book and attendees will also have the opportunity to board one of the mobile libraries and find out how we reach the rural readers of Angus.
A highlight of the event will be a special talk by Marion Todd, the acclaimed author of the “Detective Clare Mackay” series, who will share insights into her writing process and discuss her latest work from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Additionally, there will also be a Bookbug session from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, specially designed for our youngest readers. This interactive session will include songs, rhymes, and stories, making it a delightful experience for children and parents alike.
This is a free drop in event – no booking required.
