Creating Beauty: The Art of Embroidery tells the story of the Arbroath Embroidery Club, formed in 1956, and sows what embroidery meant to those who practiced it. The textiles on display tell their own unique stories. Embroidery is a common language that offers insight into the history, cultures and customs of communities around the world. The Arbroath Embroidery Club used their passion and expertise to gather a significant collection which they presented to Arbroath Library for safekeeping. This exhibition showcases their legacy.
