MAKING BETTER: CREATIVITY FOR WELLNESS

MAKING BETTER: CREATIVITY FOR WELLNESS

MAKING BETTER: CREATIVITY FOR WELLNESS, an exhibition sharing the creative, bright and joyful artworks made by adults living with dementia and their Carers.

This exhibition and the related activities form part of the Angus Festival of Makers which runs from 2 – 31 May 2025.

The creativity and talent of artists and makers from across Angus will be on show this May during the Angus Festival of Makers. Eleven open studios, four art markets and two exhibitions will open their doors to visitors where they can talk to artists, see behind the scenes and buy direct. The free festival runs from 2 to 31 May at venues right across the county. See the website www.anguscreatives.co.uk for full details of venues and opening times.

Creative activities including printing, working with clay and writing were part of a new programme of creative activities developed and delivered by members of Angus Creatives in meeting and activity centres across Angus.

Supported by the Communities Health and Wellbeing Fund, the Kirriemuir Pathfinders Project, RS MacDonald Trust and Supersun, these workshops introduced the participants to new making processes, beautiful materials and professional tools.  And the results were remarkable, not just in the work that was made, but also in the levels of enjoyment and engagement.  Creativity really does make you feel better.
