Are You OK?
It’s Mental Health Awareness week 2024 – starting on 13 May to Sunday 19 May – a time dedicated to shedding light on the importance of mental well-being in the Angus community. Alongside our partners at Angus Council and Angus Health & Social Care Partnership, we will be sharing content and signposting you to a range of services and activities that are available to you.
Mental Health Affects Everyone
Despite its importance and the various campaigns that surround mental health, it can still be stigmatised or overlooked. During Mental Health Awareness Week, we encourage you to have open conversations about it.
We know at ANGUSalive the services that we provide can have a real positive effect on someone’s well-being. Our Be Active… Live Well programme has played a huge role in supporting those in our community. Our Health Steps Angus programme has also proven to be valuable resource for those who have been physically inactive and helping those who have been isolated.
Our Library service also has a range of activities and services, including Macmillan Support, Weekly activities, and a wide range of wellbeing reading offering a fantastic support resource.
But the best therapy is by starting the conversation: Are you OK?
Case Studies
Recently we caught up with a number of staff members from across ANGUSalive to find out what they had to say about Mental Health, the challenges it can create and how we can all support one another to improve our mental wellbeing.
