Published: Friday 4 August 2017

ANGUSalive announces Beauty and the Beast as its Christmas pantomime at the charity's Webster Memorial Theatre (WMT), Arbroath. The tale as old as time runs from Saturday 9 to Sunday 24 December and is sponsored once again by the local Renault, Dacia and Nissan dealership Mackie Motors.

ANGUSalive has joined forces with local talent JJ Christine, Writer and Director of this year's panto, adding an Angus twist to the well-loved story to be delivered by our sparkling cast which includes; WMT regular Chris O'Mara who hones his inner fiend and cheeky charm to portray our Prince and Beast, supported by wingman and local town Romeo Gastoff, played by Simon Donaldson whose theatre credits include last year's Sinbad. Le Poo, the panto trickster, will be lovingly embellished by Chuck Denton, a Got to Dance finalist who regularly treads the boards at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre; Susan Coyle of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and television greats like Taggart, will deliver the roles of Mrs P/ Mother and of course, the tale would not be complete without our Bell of the ball, portrayed by accomplished singer and dancer Claudia Todd.

Tickets for Beauty and The Beast are now on sale with an early bird offer available until 29 September; standard price tickets start at £13 (adult) and concessionary (£11) and a family ticket, for two adults and two children, costs £40 with concessionary rates and school performances available on selected dates, please contact the box office for more details.
