Published: 3 May 2018

ANGUSalive's Forfar Library is set to provide integrated local services to enhance flexibility and convenience for its customers from Tuesday 8 May.

ANGUSalive employees will now provide face-to-face customer services from the Library, helping customers with advice on Angus Council general and service information including the completion and submission of forms, such as housing and Blue Badge applications.

Kirsty Hunter, ANGUSalive chief executive commented:

"Customers in Brechin, Kirriemuir and Monifieth have already benefited from the single-site delivery within our library services for the past 11 months. In Carnoustie, where the integrated delivery followed an exciting and significant library redevelopment, we've seen a 28% increase in visitors to date. We're pleased to now be able to provide an integrated service from Forfar library as we continue to look for ways to enhance our customer offering."

Clair Tracey, facilities officer, ANGUSalive's Forfar Library commented:

"This is an excellent opportunity for our customers to reach a whole range of services under the one roof. Whether you are visiting us to take part in a regular library activity including favourites such as Bookbug or you are making use of our resources in our Peoples' Network IT centre, customers will now be able to access the face-to-face customer services across our opening times, including one late night during the week and Saturdays."

The team at Forfar Library will also continue to provide local knowledge as part of ANGUSalive's libraries, museums and archives VisitScotland VIP accreditation, promoting their local area and the services offered by local businesses.
